Provisioning a User

This section describes how to provision an end user on your TrueSafe service.

On the Web-based Administration Console

Go to your Host Computer Management page:

• Using your web browser, go to www.truesafe.net/acctmgthome.
• If presented with the Sign In page, enter your User Name and Password. You should now see your Account Management page.
• Click on the Computer Name of your Host Computer.

Adding a Hosted User: click Add User to add a user to your list of hosted users on this computer. This step authorizes the user to backup to your Host Computer.

• Make sure you enter the user’s complete email address for the User Name. Note that this User Name must already be registered (see http://www.truesafe.net/register)
• Enter the amount of storage to allocate to this user. Note that this applies as a total amount of storage available across all computers this user may have.
• Optionally, adjust the maximum number of computers this user can have backup to your host.
• Choose Save when done.

The user is now authorized to backup to your Host Computer. The hosted user, when creating/editing the backup profile on his computer, will be able to choose your Host Computer as a backup destination. Note that the user must be connected to the internet and Signed In in order for a backup to be performed.
