can I use the registration code to activate the
Professional Edition?
Yes, as long as your installed version of the
Personal Edition is the same major version. If you’re
not sure, download the latest
version of the free Personal Edition. To activate
the Professional Edition, open the TrueSafe main window, choose
Help,
Registration, and enter your registration code.
Once you’ve successfully entered the code, you should
see the title bar of the
main window indicate the “Professional Edition”.
I
want to use the Remote Computer backup feature. Do I need
to buy 2 licenses?
Typically, yes, this is the desired configuration.
A separate license is required for each computer running TrueSafe
Professional
Edition. The Personal Edition can host up to one
remote user using any TrueSafe Edition, but with the same
data limits that
apply to the Personal Edition. Similarly, the
Professional Edition can host a maximum of 5 users of any
edition type.
